Welcome to the Shark Tank! π¦
At Amherst, our Sharks know the library is the perfect place to read, grow, and dive into learning! The Amherst Elementary Library, also known as the Shark Tank, is a place where students discover the joy of reading, explore new ideas, and develop a lifelong love of learning. The space offers a warm, welcoming space filled with books, technology, and opportunities to spark imagination and curiosity.
Kindergarten through 5th grade classes visit the library as part of their specials rotation each day. With the classroom teacher's permission, students may return late books or choose new ones in between these visits. All students may bring their books home to enjoy with their families.
We also offer Open Library from 7:05-7:35 a.m. each morning so students in 3rd–5th grades can visit the library to check out books, read quietly, or simply enjoy a calm start to their day.
